The entries start from the college opening in the mid-14th century, and each one includes name, age, father's name, birth place, entrance date, date of death and a short biography - this will be a real boon if your ancestor is included, as it will save you trawling through many rare records to find similar information. The Register, originally published in 1897, also references where the information was found.

Though, in this period, the college only tended to admit wealthy men, and not those "suffering from any grave or contagious illness...or a Welshman", there are indexes, and the 1,100-page register is fully searchable to seek out those that were eligible.
