Far from your run-of-the-mill Army List, this details history of the Old 2/4th Battalion, The London Regiment Royal Fusiliers gives a wealth of detail on officers and ordinary soldiers in addition to the regiment itself during World War I.

The file starts off with histories of the regiment's activities and movements in the first three years of the War, including training. It the covers the Gallipoli campaign and its involvement in Rouen, France on 1 June 1916, before many went on to fight in the Battle of the Somme.

The Record of Officers gives each man's rank, role and history of service, including any injuries and details of death where applicable. The alpahbetical Record of Personnel covers the same information for privates and non-commissioned officers, who tend not to be included in most official military lists. Dates of discharge are also provided for those who survived the War.
