Lancashire Forebears?

Although The Lancashire 1841 Census Index is intended to be used with S&N's 1841 Lancashire Census Image set, you may search and find basic details from the index alone. It covers the entire Lancashire area. A simple search screen allows you to search by surname with either forename or age. Wildcards are permitted to help find variants. A search will produce a list of names fitting the criteria chosen. By selecting a name from the search results, you then have the option to view that person's whole family group. Details given are: surname, forename, age, the area (such as Rochdale, Lancaster and so forth), the PRO (now TNA) film reference, and the S&N CD reference numbers. Search results may be printed.
