This site has the complete range of birth, marriage and death records from 1837-2003, indexed by surname, forename and initial, where required. From 1984 onwards the records are searched with the Smart Search facility and for this period only there is a bonus of a surname mapping facility, which enables you to display your search results on a colour coded printable map at a cost of 10 units a map. Smart Search provides the opportunity to perform a reverse lookup so that when you have found a marriage you can search on the partner to find out their full details. This also works for deaths and births, allowing you to cross-reference births from a death. There are two subscription levels: £5 for 50 units (10p a unit) valid for 90 days; and £14.95 for 200 units (7.5p a unit) valid for a year. One unit is deducted from your account each time a full record or page image is viewed, so an index entry reference costs 10p or 7.5p. |
