London 1926 Post Office Directory

This is presented as a two CD set, comprising 2,769 pages of information about the city and districts in its immediate vicinity such as Shepherd's Bush and Tooting. This, the 127th edition, was the first to include telephone numbers.

The bulk of the pages are devoted to alphabetical listings of London's buisinesses, tradesmen and private residents. As usual, the advertisements are eye-catching. Lists of central government and local authority officials, police and magistrates are also included, alongside many diverse compilations such as places of worship, hotels and wharves.
