1918 Army List - August

This huge publication of some 3,232 pages was first published by HMSO in two volumes, both of which are included on this CD. They contain names, regiments and ranks of officers on the Active List of the British Army as of August 1918, including infantry, cavalry, artillery, Territorial Army and the like. A typical entry lists name, rank (and how long held) regiment and regimental address. A good deal of further information can be gleaned about the regiment, ranging from a description of their uniform to a list of locations in which they had seen action.
