Trade Directories
Slater's 1850 Directory (S&N Genealogy Supplies £17.45) and Pigots & Co's 1830 Directories Combined Edition (Archive CD Books £39.00) both  include a number of counties for their respective years. Like all trade directories, these include descriptions of settlements along with the more prosperous and skilled inhabitants, Slater covers the Midlands, while Pigot & Co covers the south outside the London area and also includes South Wales, Northamptonshire and Monmouthshire appear on both. |
